An updated swimming pool in the heart of east Austin brings new life to Govalle Park.
The 30,000 square foot pool facility includes a lap pool and activity pool, shaded seating and public restrooms, and raingardens. Community engagement drove the layout and character of the pool, including public art and an interpretive design recalling the outline of the former mid-century pool.
Work completed at Asakura Robinson. Brendan Wittstruck was the project manager from concept design through construction observation while employed at Asakura Robinson.
