Austin Bergstrom Parking Garage

City of Austin Aviation Department
Austin, Texas

Austin’s growing airport introduces a new approach experience for visitors.

A pedestrian “spine” connects the airport terminal with surface parking, encouraging visitors to walk, rest perched on curving seat walls, and take in the Art in Public Places “Meanderwing” sculpture by the THEVERYMANY. The project supports sustainability goals with native, low-water planting and reclaimed water for irrigation.

Work completed at Asakura Robinson. Brendan Wittstruck was the project manager from concept design through construction observation while employed at Asakura Robinson.
